Save Money On Your Auto Insurance

Save Money On Your Auto Insurance

Car insurance, we all need to have it. It’s one of those added expenses that you are required by law to have.

There are two ways of thinking as far as insurance goes. You make sure you are heavily insured so that any vehicle damage and personal injury is covered. The other way is you get covered for only legally required minimum and save your money.

If you’re reading this post then you most likely want to find ways to lower your car insurance and not be heavily insured so I’ll go over some tips to save money on your auto insurance.

  1. Comparison shopping. Shop around for the best prices. There are plenty of sites where you can get free auto loan quotes. If saving money is your maximum concern, choose the company that has the lowest rates, even if you’ve never heard of them before.
  2. Coverage. Be insured for only the legal requirement and nothing more. Wise or not, it will save you money off your monthly premium.
  3. Pay in advance. Some companies are willing to charge you less if you pay for 6 months in advance as opposed to making monthly payments.
  4. Raise your deductible. The higher the deductible the lower your payment will be. You should raise the deductible as high as they allow you to.
  5. Get discounts. You can get discounts on your car insurance by working as a nurse or a teacher. There’s also discounts for multiple vehicles, taking a driver safety course, being a long term customer and bundling your different insurances like home, auto and life insurance policies.
